A family owned and operated boutique winery located just 10 minutes from the historic town of Canowindra. Our wines are certified Organic and Biodynamic and made to express their unique site.

Rosnay Cellar Door 

They converted their family farm “Rosnay” to organic and biodynamic farming in 1997, bringing the soil back to life, and planting grape vines, olives and figs. The Cellar Door is open daily, 11am to 5pm.

Iandra Castle

Mount Oriel homestead is a unique part of Australia’s heritage. The existing homestead was built over, and incorporates, the original single-storey brick building on the site. This was the home of George Henry Greene, local landowner, grazier, and politician, after whom nearby Greenethorpe is named. Construction was made using concrete, and was finished in 1911.

High Tea

Probably the most colourful local character is Tommy Jeffs and he hosts high teas at his house that are a real hoot. You’ll need to book in advance and it’s even better if you’re in a group.

Fishing in the Belubula River

The most prolific native species are Murray Cod and Golden Perch. Introduced fish found in the river include European Carp, Redfin Perch, Rainbow and Brown Trout.

If you're a fan of astronomy, the movie 'The Dish', or both, the radio telescope, Murriyang, in the central-west region of New South Wales is a must-see destination.

Canowindra International Balloon Challenge

Attracting balloon pilots to Canowindra’s wide-open spaces, rolling hills and gentle winds, Canowindra became known as the “Balloon Capital of Australia”. Every April, Australia’s largest hot air balloon festival and the Canowindra community welcomes all visitors to the region.

Sakura Matsuri is the highlight of the year at the Japanese Garden, a huge festival celebrating the coming of spring, the beauty of the seasonal cherry blossoms, and Japanese culture itself.
